A 4-day conference co-hosted by CHEF of Missouri and Generations with Vision. . . sounds exciting! What should we expect?
The 2013 Family Economics Mega-Conference is a 4-day event that will be co-hosted by CHEF of Missouri and Generations with Vision in St. Charles, Missouri (west side of St. Louis). It will include the best of both conferences – for the price of one! The conference will address a large variety of topics, but the central theme is training families in family-based work, education, discipleship, and taking dominion for Jesus Christ in all aspects of everyday life.
Wednesday and Thursday
The first two days will include a large vendor hall for homeschool families to buy curriculum and other worldview and education related resources. It will also include many inspiring sessions on education, discipleship, work and dominion, history, and family vision.
Friday and Saturday
The last two days – Friday and Saturday – will focus in on the practical aspects of family-based economics. Get ready for a massive infusion of vision into your family’s understanding of what it means to work, give, learn, and live together in a unified household economy. You can expect 5-10 panels with folks from around the country who will share practical advice from their experience within a family economy.
Every Day
In addition to the inspiring sessions and panels that will run throughout the conference, each evening will include a fun and engaging activity for the family. And especially convenient for families with young children, the award-winning Embassy Suites is attached to the convention center and is a 60-second indoor walk from the main conference area.
Will there be a separate CHEF conference or a separate Family Economics conference in the Midwest for 2013?
No – the 2013 Mega-Conference is the only large conference Generations or CHEF will be hosting in the Midwest in 2013. (Please note: the normal CHEF vendor hall will be available only on Wednesday and Thursday.)
I only want to attend part of the conference. Can I register for only the first two days?
No. Conference registration is available only in a full 4-day pass. The conference registration covers all four days, and we hope you can attend the whole thing! However, if you are only able to come for part of the conference, that’s great – we look forward to seeing you then.
When can I register?
Registration is open online until we reach capacity. There is limited capacity at our facility, and we expect to fill up prior to the event! Registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis. (Please note that both our 2010 and 2011 Family Economics Conference registered to capacity prior to the event.)
I’m coming from a long distance. Where do I stay, and should I fly or drive to St. Louis?
We recommend attendees stay at the beautiful, award-winning Embassy Suites connected to the St. Charles Convention Center. Visit our Facility and Accommodations.
Do I have to register online?
Yes. If you experience issues with our online registration, if you are from another country, or if you do not have a credit card to complete the online registration process, you may call our registration coordinator, Megan Roach, at 303-956-9977. Please allow several days for return calls in some cases.
Cancellations/Refunds
Registrations cancelled before December 31st will be refunded 90% of the total registration amount. From December 31st to February 28th, all registrations cancelled will be refunded at 50%. All registrations after February 28th are non-refundable.
